Molecular Biology methods are one important basis for both preparation (e.g. synthetized DNA constructs for transfection) and analysis (e.g. gene expression analysis) of in vivo and in vitro experiments, such as knockdown-, overexpression- and localization experiments.
The Molecular Biology lab division is characterized by ten fully equipped none multiuser work stations, either assigned to a single user or to a working group.
To prevent contamination we moreover provide separated areas for pre- and post-PCR activities, such as:
- None multi user sample preparation area
- Reaction mix preparation area (multi user clean area)
- Multi user detection area
The infrastructure is suitable for common molecular methods and beyond. Gene expression analysis can be performed on a Roche LightCycler 480 II.
Support can be given for:
- basic practical Training
- primer design
- establishing new methods
- troubleshooting and others.
There also are SOPs and WIs for well-established methods available.
