Expertise
My educational background stems from molecular biology and kinesiology. In the Translational Neuromodulation Group we combine neuroscience, biomechanics and software engineering to understand movement and it's relationship with the central nervous system. By studying the neuromechanics of the brain and spinal cord I want to improve the outcome of motor recovery after stroke as well as Parkinson's disease and hope that our research results will one day help increase the quality of life in patients suffering from neurological diseases.
